[Watch] RCB’s Georgia Wareham Nearly Pulls Off AB de Villiers’ ‘Gravity-Defying’ Catch – OneCricket

Wareham’s effort was almost similar to ABD’s (X.com)
Fielding is one such place where there is always room for improvement. Players such as Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers, among many others, have set a high standard, and even womens cricket has started getting influenced due to their heroic efforts.
Similarly, everyone was in awe of what Georgia Wareham pulled off on Thursday while playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) against Delhi Capitals at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium.
It all happened during the 11th over of Delhis innings when Shafali Verma went berserk against Nadine de Klerk to play a huge six over deep mid-wicket. However, placed near the boundary line, Wareham kept her eyes on the ball before going for an acrobatic dive to save a certain six.
In fact, the effort reminded many of what de Villiers did in 2018 during an IPL match between RCB and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). The South African superstar put up an almost similar effort before taking a gravity-defying catch.
Even the Delhi Capitals bench, led by Marizanne Kapp, erupted in applause for Wareham’s spectacular fielding.
As of now, Delhi have posted 124/4 after 15 overs, with Kapp and Jess Jonassen in the middle, on 9* and 0* respectively in Match 7 of the ongoing edition.

[Watch] Shoaib Malik’s Wife Sana Javed Disappointed After Batter’s Failure In PSL – OneCricket

Sana Javed disappointed after Malik’s wicket (X.com)
Shoaib Malik is the most experienced active cricketer in PSL 2024 currently and is still going strong with his superb cricketing skills and fitness. However, against Quetta Gladiators in the 16th match of PSL 2024, he could not get going and departed on 12 off 20 deliveries as he failed to clear the fence against Abrar Ahmed which left his wife quite disappointed.
Karachi Kings while batting first lost the first wicket in the opening over and despite a good second wicket stand, they lost wickets at regular intervals in the middle overs. Shoaib Malik who walked out to bat at number 4 was especially finding it difficult to time the ball despite trying hard.
His wicket in the 13th over was also an classic example of Shoaib Malik trying too hard but not getting the desired result. It was a tossed up delivery from Abrar Ahmed on off. Malik danced down the track and tried to pump it over long off. However, he did not time it properly and ended up hitting it straight to Jason Roy near the boundary line.
Naturally, Shoaib Malik was disappointed and so was his new wife Sana Javed who was also enjoying the game. She would be hoping that her husband now delivers with ball in hand and contribute to his team’s success.

Lewis Hamilton leads Mercedes 1-2 in FP2 at F1 Bahrain Grand Prix – Crash

Lewis Hamilton went fastest in the second practice session at the F1 Bahrain Grand Prix on Thursday to give Mercedes a much-needed boost.
Teammate George Russell was second-fastest – while Red Bulls Max Verstappen was notably sixth.
Fernando Alonso was third, behind the Mercedes duo, Carlos Sainz was fourth, Oscar Piastri fifth.
Hamiltons pace – a best time of 1m30.374s – in FP2 will deliver some optimism at Mercedes who, at the opening round of the 2024 F1 season, hope their new W15 car will represent a turnaround after two terrible years.
Just six minutes in, Hamilton set a benchmark of 1:30.751s.
He led Verstappen by half-a-second for the majority of FP2.
The three-time F1 champion and Red Bull driver was left complaining “I have too much air coming through my helmet” in a frustrating session.
Verstappen may have taken some comfort from a race simulation which was fastest, ahead of Hamilton.
After qualifying simulation times, with 20 minutes left on the clock, Hamilton led Russell, Alonso, Sainz, Piastri and Verstappen.
Lando Norris was last after the qualifying sim having made an error which resulted in him aborting his lap.
The third practice session, and qualifying, will be held on Friday.
The F1 Bahrain Grand Prix then takes place on Saturday, 24 hours earlier than the usual traditional slot in Formula 1 to take into account the start of Ramadan in the host country.

WPL 2024, RCB vs DC Live Cricket Score, Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Delhi Capitals: We would like to field first. We have seen a trend where there is something for the bowlers in the first 5-6 overs. Also, it is better to know the target in T20 cricket. That was the talk even before the season, not to depend on certain players and all the XI are good enough to win a game on their own. Perry misses out due to an illness. Nadine comes in and makes her debut. They have turned up in huge numbers and we feel we have 10 runs more due to their support. Really thankful to them.

Every word from Ten Hag’s press conference – Man Utd

When you look at the City team, do you fear what they have got?”They have a good team but there are more good teams. They have won in the last season, so this last year, everything, but we know and that is the challenge. But also Liverpool is a very good team and there are more good teams. We like the challenge and we are looking forward to challenge with them.”Sir Jim Ratcliffe spoke last week about wanting to knock City off their perch. Is this an opportunity for your team to make a statement and show you are not as far away as some people think?”I think that has nothing to do with each other. But we want to win every game. That is always our mentality and our approach in every game. It doesn’t matter who is the opponent. But, as I say, you always want to play against the best. So, most of the time we feel, and you can also see it, the opposition get the best outputs against Manchester United. Maybe this game is the other way around but we know we have to give everything and show a team performance, if we want to get the result. But if you do it, it is possible. That is also what the opposition shows in this moment against Manchester City.”
What have you learnt from previous matches against Manchester City?”We did it in several ways, many ways, and been successful. So, from all the games, we look back. We had the opportunity to win one time and you need a great day. That is also what we know, so the players have to give the best performances.”
