Mauricio Pochettino press conference: Chelsea boss on Burnley draw, Palmer, Gusto injury – Football.London
March 31, 2024

Hello and welcome to football.london for live coverage of Mauricio Pochettino’s post-match press conference following Chelsea’s 2-2 draw with 10-man Burnley.
The Blues led twice against the struggling Clarets but could not make it count despite the visitors being down to 10 men for more than 45 minutes at Stamford Bridge. Cole Palmer opened the scoring from the penalty spot just before the half-time break with Lorenz Assignon being sent off for a foul on Mykhailo Mudryk inside the box.
Vincent Kompany was then red carded for his protests. But all the distractions did not put Palmer off, who chipped it past the goalkeeper to hand the Blues the lead.
However, immediately after the second-half started, Burnley were level through Josh Cullen. Chelsea retook the lead after an impressive flick from Raheem Sterling set Palmer up to score his second goal of the game.
Burnley, though, were not done and Dara O’Shea headed in from a corner to leave Pochettino furious. You can hear everything the Chelsea head coach has to say right here.
